Northeast Florida Builders Association Apprenticeship Program
Training towards success since 1974.
Carpentry is known as one of the most well-established trades within the construction industry and continues to be in high demand for employment.
Electricians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems for our homes, businesses and factories.
Plumbing is a rapid-growing trade, with Florida having the fourth-highest employment rate for plumbers in the country. Plumbing technicians design, install, and repair sewage, drainage and potable water systems.
In the state of Florida where temperatures are often warmer year-round, expert HVAC workers will always be needed. HVAC employers need technicians who think on their feet with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Skilled construction workers are needed now more than ever to fulfill the demands of Northeast Florida’s growth. The North Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) offers a quality construction apprenticeship program for the construction workforce to meet the needs of our community’s industry employers and workforce.
Our team of professional instructors deliver cutting-edge training and curriculum in industry-leading facilities to apprentice workers seeking a strong, competitive advantage in today’s construction industry. By recruiting and training individuals who strive for excellence, we are able to provide our employers with highly skilled carpenters, electricians, HVAC technicians and plumbers who aim to ultimately enhance the quality of life in our Northeast Florida communities.
NEFBA Apprentices are given the opportunity to work hands-on beside the best-skilled professionals in the area. Our program combines textbook knowledge with real world situations, allowing apprentices to enter the workforce immediately while continuing their education at the same time. Apprentices are paid an hourly wage while receiving on-the-job training, supplemented with classroom instruction two nights a week.

Growing a company begins with investing in the right employees. We work with over 150 employers across Northeast Florida. Throughout the years, many of the leaders in the local construction trades have gone through our NEFBA Apprenticeship Program themselves and continue to carry out the tradition with their employees.
With expert guidance and education provided by our team of instructors, each apprentice graduate will earn a nationally recognized journeyman level certificate of completion from the Florida Department of Education. We are proud partners with KEISER University, NCCER.org, and several high schools in Duval and Clay counties.
We provide all our apprentices with convenient online tools like time card tracking, curriculum guidebooks, job placement services, and event calendars to stay engaged and connected. Through 100% tuition-free training by industry professionals, the NEFBA Apprenticeship Program is here to help you build your future.
